PB Vase
I save jars. Sure, I use them to store leftovers but most of them are just added to the collection. Sometimes my food purchases are governed by how cool I consider the jar to be. I know there are others out there who share my compulsion so the PB Vase is made for you.
The PB Vase is simply a box with a removable lid that houses a peanut butter jar. The jar makes a perfect container for water and flowers and is easily removable for cleaning and refilling.
The reuse theme carries over to the materials as well. It is made from salvaged stadium bench seats of Alaskan yellow cedar that were left over from a remodel to Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, CA. The walnut inlay is scrap from one of my own projects and is urban-forested wood that was harvested from a tree that was killed by an infestation of insects.
Each vase is locally made in limited editions due to the salvaged material.
